Alchemy Acupuncture & Herbs is hiring a part-time acupuncturist for Monday evenings and fill-ins when other practitioners are out, with an opportunity to add more shifts in the future.

Our ideal candidate is someone who wants to focus on patient care in a collaborative, supportive environment with other passionate practitioners. We are looking for an individual who has a positive outlook, is self-motivated to build up their schedule and also willing to contribute to the evolution of the practice.

We have been a booming practice in the heart of Wicker Park for 16 years. We have a long-term patient base, strong word of mouth referrals and great foot traffic. While we see patients for a wide array of ailments, we most often treat internal medicine issues, pain management, women’s health, fertility, autoimmune disorders, and mental health.

Alchemy shares space with chiropractors and massage therapists. We refer back and forth and co-treat pain patients with excellent results. We also have a rockstar front desk team.

Duties:

· Provide safe, effective acupuncture treatments

· Chart electronic SOAP notes

· Prescribe herbal formulas (patents and custom using powdered herb pharmacy)

· Perform cupping, guasha, electro-stimulation & moxibustion

· Good patient retention

· Convey a clear treatment plan

· Educate patients on Chinese medicine

Required qualifications

Valid Illinois acupuncture license

Minimum 1-2 years of experience practicing acupuncture

Board-certified herbalist strongly preferred

Strong communication and interpersonal skills

Hours

Monday 12-8:30pm

Fill-ins when other practitioners are out

Compensation

$35 – Follow-Up Acupuncture

$42.50 – New Patient Acupuncture

$25 – Guasha, Cupping & Herbal Consults

$50 – Cosmetic Acupuncture

$35-$105 per hour / $400-$600 per day when fully booked
